Most folks have cell phones these days with text messaging or some kind of messaging service so staying connected with your significant other is pretty easy. With that in mind, how often do you stay in touch with your partner? Do you still send each other little messages while you are at work? Once a day? How frequent? Do you not send messages at all or maybe only send informative messages?
It can range from several times an hour to once every several days. It really just depends on how busy people are and if they have anything they want to say.
We usually send a few messages back and forth throughout the day. It can range from a simple "I love you" to more pressing needs, such as dinner plans, requests to "get" something, etc.
We live together and then while I'm at work we text and talk a fair share. Sometimes random things while she's at the post office or grocery store. Occasionally she'll call if it's pressing. Never a big deal. Not usually much small talk, we typically actually have things to talk about.
I have a friend and his gf constantly nags him at work. Starts big fights over the littlest stupid stuff. Complete attention and drama queen. My gf and any girl I've dated realizes unless it's a crazy emergency work is #1 and I can't always answer or respond. It's never been an issue.
Completely depends on how busy we are. We've never gone a day without texting/talking/emailing since our first date, but sometimes it's just one or two between meetings and a quick goodnight before bed. Lately we've been talking every other day or so, but that's because he's going through some issues at work and likes to vent a bit and get opinions about how to proceed.
Honestly, if I didn't want to at least say hello to my SO once a day, I'd really question my interest in him, and vice versa.
We see each other before we leave for work in the morning and don't talk again until later in the day. Sometimes 6pm, sometimes not until 9 or 10pm. Depends on what is going on.
It's rare that we call/text during the workday unless it's a emergency.
When he travels we talk once a day for a few minutes before we go to bed.
