Given that you two had a huge fight before you left for Christmas and he wants some "space" it seems like it could be a bad idea this year.

If you are still together next year, do it then.

That's a thoughtful gift as long as it's like one of those flip type desk calendars and not a big one to hang on the wall, IMO.

Yeah, and get him steaks too.

Please tell me you're talking about a custom calendar service where you upload the digital images and they are printed with the calendar and not just gluing in photos on a calendar. Still seems kinda cheap though

Do you think he'd really use it? If so, then yes. If not, just find a nice photo and frame it --maybe something special, like a trip you took together.

I'm not actually sure when I last saw a traditional hang on the wall calendar. Smart phones and all... I think what I'm saying is that how good an idea it might be should take the back burner while you first decide if it is destined to be tossed in some hole never to be seen again.

As far as good ideas, I'll like any gift given with love regardless of total dork factor. I'll even wear it, use it etc. before it accidentally flies out of the car window during a emergency maneuver to avoid running over Mrs. McGillicuddys entire 1st grad class that was walking down the side of the road during a field trip.

that's a gift a woman would like, not a man IMO.

Given this additional information, I would not make the calendar.

For a relationship without issues, I still wouldn't make it solely with pictures of us. I make 4 calendars every year as gifts, and I choose from the "best" of, of all the trip/nature pictures I've taken in that calendar year. For my elderly uncle, I make a calendar with all family members since he wants to see us more than scenery.
