Go to any Cars and Coffee and a quick assessment of male-to-female ratio will show that guys are (for the most part) obsessed with cars and most women couldn't care less.

Very true! Most vehicle/equipment/mechanical hobbies draw men in the 50+ age bracket. The implication is twofold: (1) such hobbies or possessions aren't a means of attracting women, and (2) they aren't even a means of broadening one's social circle, where potential dates could be cultivated.
How right you are. Go to any Cars and Coffee and a quick assessment of male-to-female ratio will show that guys are (for the most part) obsessed with cars and most women couldn't care less.

I have to admit, I do love antique car shows. My friend and I went to one because she likes them as well and she thought it would be a good place to be my wing woman as there were sure to be single men there-and to practice our mutual hobby of photography. I was so focused on the cars, I didn't notice the crowd (except for when they got in the way of my perfect shot).
Not surprised the color silver made the vote since it is one of the three most common car colors with the other two being, surprise, surprise; black & white.
I drive a BMW M6 and Porsche 977 and never once gotten approached by a women, just guys. So what car/s you role in have absolutely nothing to do with getting a woman/mate; its the money in which you bought it they're interested in, LoL j/k
Now, my "grocery getter" (Mini Cooper S) and motorcycle/s Ive got compliments from a few gals.
Around here Mini's are mostly a chick car much like the Beetle.
I believe pick-up truck won because there far more of those than any other vehicle a man would drive. I went from pick-up truck to 2 seat sports car coupe and I love it. I get stares all day, not by just women, but everyone. I have received a bit more attention while out shopping, ladies tend to check me out more when I'm around my ride. It happened in my pick-up, but definitely not as much.

I initially bought for my younger brother (who didn't have a working car at the time) and since I got it for dirt cheap, I thought it would be great transportation for him to get to work and back. Well, he finally bought himself one of those Nissan Z thingy, so I started using it for a "date car-grocery getter".
Gay? perhaps, lol but I dont care, it gets the groceries and is better on gas than my other cars.
