She sees you as a friend and enjoys your friendship. A LOT. But that's as far as it goes. Maybe she doesn't have another guy right now that she's attracted to for more, but rest assure, when she finds one, she will spend time with him.
You're not helpless here. I can always stop hanging out with her. If she whines/*******/etc. about it, just ignore her. It's the only way sometimes to cut loose of this.
If you know her, why don't you go talk to her for him?
Ok last thing...I'm a coach and she comes to my sporting events and stays the whole time without me asking her to. She ditched her friends on new years to hang with me, without me asking her to then either...why???

What do you want to do, threaten her to start having sex with you when she doesn't want to? Might as well just rape her. (not saying you would but I say it just to make a point) Is it really the kind of relationship you want to be in, with someone who doesn't want you like you want them? The romance is not there, man. You have to accept this, grieve, and then move on. It's just a close, very close friendship, and she enjoys your attention. The worst thing in the world is to have bend somebody's arm to have sex and affection with you. Find someone else.
