I'd considering a break. Not a break up, though, just a break. Do it on the 12th, then get back together with her on the 16th. Then you don't have to worry about "V Day" with a three week relationship. Also, if either of you sleep with someone else during this time, it's OK.
Are you literally asking us what you should do with your SO?
It's not hard man, go out on a date and do something you mutually love...spend time together and enjoy the day.
Thx for the response. I think it would be too much if I took her for ice skating and a card on the 13th, and then dropped off a very small something on the 14th. Would you agree that the 13th plans are enough?
Yes, I think you have the perfect balance for a 3-week dateship (not yet a relationship): not too much, not too little. You don't need to do anything more for the 14th.
I'd tell her about going ice skating. She'll want to know how to dress for the date.
How about giving her a lovely scarf or a pair of gloves with the card? Nothing too expensive, maybe gloves in her favorite color or a soft scarf. She will remember the ice skating date whenever she wears them.
What I've done in the past when I've only been dating someone for a very short time period before Valentine's Day is to do something to commemorate the holiday but in a silly, fun way.
Examples:
- A deliberately cheesy card. I've even bought a box of the cartoon-character Valentine's that school children send, and used one of those, before.
- Non-romantic looking chocolate. A nice small box of Godiva truffles in an ordinary box - no red, pink, lace, or hearts.
- One year, my new BF and I made plans for V-day to get Chinese takeout and watch a horror movie.
Gotta take the bull by the horns and get those dick pix going guys. She'll never forget you.
He has to make sure he buys her something at Jared's as well. lol!
