I'm pretty sure I have. After all, I'm a guy.

Recently, I do recall in a conversation that I said something to a woman that I realized was actually kinda creep-ish. This was when she asked me out as well. Fortunately, she still talks to me and I'm not noticing any difference in her behavior towards me.

Ironically, I'm the one kinda backing away. Because as someone who has been creeped out, I don't like other people going through what I went through. So I just kinda back away and keep everything limited to politeness.

If a woman is just ignoring you, cut her off, especially if you feel that you have creeped her out. Forget about it and move on. Ignore her. If she starts talking to you again, learn from your previous mistakes. It may not even be that you creeped her out. However, just move on.

Once I saw her look of blank incomprehension, I realized my mistake. Rather than apologize like a normal human being, I decided to stare at my feet and walk away while talking to myself. It was not my finest moment.
That would have been creepy even if she HAD been your student. What's wrong with just saying hello?

Yeah. There was a woman at a political speech at SF state that I was talking to the other day. Her daughter was with her and I didn't want it to seem like I was just hitting on her mom (especially since the daughter was probably closer to my age than the mother, but she was really sullen and unresponsive.), so I tried introducing myself to her. Big mistake. She took my hand as if I were a scabrous leper and mumbled something. Totally put off both of them...oh well. She probably was in her 30s anyway.

Once, I washed the dishes, rinsed them off and then dried and put them away without having been asked to do so.

Yep I was about 25 I think. She was about 19, one night after we were talking and she looked me in the eyes after I asked why she had several guy friends. Her answer "I love to have sex". We made out a a bit that night.

The next night when I was driving her home, I said something (I forget what exactly but nothing more explicit than what she had said to me above). She called me a pervert and was probably creeped out. I didn't say anything negative to her about her comment in the first paragraph. Double standard between the genders on things like this? oh yes. Girls can throw insults at guys, but if its the other way around lookout!

I guess I should share my story. I was at a party talking to a group of guys and girls and I decided to make a joke. Well the joke was basically about women and my penis. Needless to stay after several awkward seconds I realized that I wasn't getting any at that party.

Another time I creeped out a girl by making a joke about porn. I guess for me I usually creep out girls when I make a joke about sex or porn. That or maybe I'm just associating with excessively conservative girls.

I'm sure I have. Doesn't take much to creep them out.

How a man conducts himself in mixed company, particularly if he's drinking, is important to me. Maybe I fall into the category of excessively conservative? It isn't that it would creep me out; its more that I would cringe if he ever did something like that at a function with colleagues of mine.
