They're on Aisle 90 1/2 between the Leprechauns and the Fairy Dust. The Disapproving Looks and Condescending Stares section is in the way though so the shelves there rarely get stocked.

Childfree guys are down on Aisle 2 next to the lawnmowers.

Hey, they told me the childfree guys were over by the bungee cords and the kayaks!

Excellent point! The entire San Francisco Bay Area, and I'd add: Seattle, would be good places to look. They're really fairly ordinary out there.

Childfree women are not unicorns. There are about five in this thread alone. I know several more in real life.

We can gripe ad nauseam, but here we are, posting in the same thread. What's stopping us?
I am actually not opposed to dating a single dad, but I do think it would have it's own set of challenges with me not being a parent myself. So my preference is someone who also doesn't have kids (or kids who are self-sufficient) and doesn't want them as at 40, I have no intentions of becoming a parent now.

I am one on this forum who bemoans the lack of eligible men and I think I'm going to start qualifying that with "in my desired age range of 35-45." I have a close friend who is a few months younger than I am and she has no problem getting dates. They're just waiting in the wings and message her out of the blue. She doesn't even have to try.

Right now, the youngest pursuing her is 47. There are also a couple in their early 50's who she feels are nice, quality men, but she's finding men in that age range are just in too different of a place than she is.

Well, here's my problem! I already have a lawnmower so I haven't been shopping in that aisle.

You know, you'd think there would be some kind of "DINK meetup group." (childless couples around here call themselves DINKs--dual income, no kids). Might be worth searching on that term to see if there are groups or dating sites for people interested in DINK. Maybe even if you find a site for couples, there might be info on where you could meet someone.

IDK about that... when I was in my 20's I had a hell of a time meeting women that didn't have kids, I can't imagine how that search would be in my 40's....

If I'm ever single again, hook me up with that list......

I know several in their 30's and 40's, too. It's easy to meet women with no kids in your 20's'; just hang around a university.
