I agree about the lighting issue. Have someone use a flash on the camera, pictures actually usually come out looking better that way. Other than that I think you look great!

hmm. Not bad. But the lighting is poor. Pay for a professional photog. The lighting will be the best, and he'll catch you at your best angle.
Even with the poor lighting, this is WAY better than the other photo you posted!
And no, don't have someone use a flash. I spoke to someone who works on a dating website, and she says flashes can have unintended effects. They can make people look pale and washed out (not your problem, obviously), there's the red-eye problem, they can make the lighting weird.
