Well, why don't women just dance with their girlfriends if that's all they want to do. Why bother dancing with a guy at all?

Because dancing is fun for it's own sake, and learning how to do it well means practicing. Did you not read anything that people have been saying?

Yes, I did read and I have concluded that my original assumption was correct. Women just dance for fun and usually nothing else. So therefore, if I don't like dancing I most likely have little to nothing to gain from dancing with women.

Becuase they are not thinking of whether the guy just wants to play grab ass when enjoying the moment is concerned

It's called "common interest", a foot in the door, so to speak.
If you don't want or need this then, yes, you have nothing to gain (except fun, of course).

Probably. Like I said, there will be times where knowing how to dance will benefit you very much, but the average American man doesn't dance either, so there will be other areas where you can shine.

OK OP, if you don't like to dance, then don't look to dances as a place to meet women. It's that simple. And no point getting mad at women b/c they don't behave according to your *left over from high school* expectations.

They aren't dances per say they are places were dancing is one thing that takes place. And who said I was "mad"? I'm simply making an observation. I don't know what the high school comment is about, I never went to any dances in high school.

Sometimes you just dance with guy friends.Or you want to dance and your friends don't. So you get on the floor and start dancing with someone who isn't with a woman to dance with. Many times guys will just cut in when you are dancing with lady friends.
