As a guy, I would say my reason is I have not asked out enough women. I've asked out 2 people last year.
I would not ask any woman out (whom I am acquainted with) unless I know with certainty that she is interested. Otherwise, I'd rather hit up the club and get rejected by a random I don't know.

If you must know it was because of a mix of being shy, too involved in my sport and traveling all over the world from 15 years old to 26 years old. I was never in one place longer than a few months.
