Got out of the house tonight, went out with a friend to see two bands at a local venue. First band was interesting, kind of experimental. I went up to the singer to talk and introduce myself (yes, gentlemen, *I* approached him) and there was an instant connection - our eyes locked, I felt that wonderful surge that I haven't felt in such a long time, we got to talking about the performance and some other things. All good things, all the good signs, and then....he mentions that he lives in NYC.

Oh.

<big sigh>

It's fine, of course, nothing to be done about it otherwise. I haven't felt very confident about myself for awhile and it was really nice to get that lift of meeting someone that shows a mutual interest. I just wish it could have gone somewhere.....

If he's in a traveling band, he probably has some sort of communicable disease, at least that love been told.

Plenty of women make the first move. But you can't have a long distance relationship with him?

Awww well that sucks.

Hahaha knowing me, I probably wouldn't have even said anything to him. I'm the type to listen, talk to my friends about it and leave. I don't really care for singers and musicians.......
