I was with a guy for 8 years. I had to convince him after one year to move in together. He was super independent and his friends were always first.
Left him and he had a new gf quickly, she moved in after 4 weeks, he dropped all his friends, wanted to marry her.
When I spoke with him (we were still friendly) he said, he regretted that he didn't propose to me.
He couldn't stand the emptiness when I left so he got the next best girl that came around, tried to change to be a better bf and tried to tie her down. They had a horrible relationship for 4 years (luckily decided to NOT marry) and then split.
Most of the time, I meet men who tell me they don't want to be in a relationship because of xyz reason. However a couple months later, I usually find out they're dating someone exclusively, some even get engaged shortly after.
Am I the problem?
The answer is in the title of this thread, when they "want to." Same for women, period.
Haven't met a woman worth committing to. So I don't know.
