While this is offensive I have heard of this. When I did online on CatholicMatch I had men ask me to take one because of my age. To which I replied that it sounded like they wanted a breeder not a wife. Marrying based on the results is stupid because I've heard of people told they were less likely to conceive who did and others told they were healthy fertility wise who couldn't have kids.
And what test did he request you take? I'm genuinely curious as to what a "fertility" test is.

For older women who may or may not be fertile I believe they test your hormones. If the levels aren't right you are past your expiration date.
I went through IVF, so I had some of the tests done to find out if I should even try it.

I'm not sure to be honest. This was some doofus who wanted me to send him the "results" saying I could get pregnant. I said I would if he sent me a test saying his sperm was viable. In that case I didn't care but I was giving it back to him. Never in all my dating life have I cared if a guy was fertile.

Sure, but there are a host of things that can prevent a pregnancy, so I'm wondering if he wants a hormone test done or something else? Your hormones could be perfectly fine and infertility could be the result of something mechanical instead.

If the guy offers to test his sperm I think he's being pretty fair in my opinion.

Absolutely. But when trying to get pregnant when your over 40.... the first they check is hormones to see if you even have a chance. Then there are all the mechanical things that may be wrong.

Right, but that's not what this guy is looking for. I think he's looking for the equivalent of his fertility test, in which he simply deposited his goods into a cup and got a report. It's just not that simple for a woman.

He didn't but that's not the point. I don't date men on this because there are other more important factors. It tells me they only care about having kids when that shouldn't be the main thing.

It's an important thing for a lot of guys but that shouldn't be a deciding factor.

I wouldn't know for sure what the guy was looking for.
I'm just saying for Idontdate's age..... that was probably what he was looking for, he just wanted to know she wasn't too old.
Beyond verifying that..... there is no test.
