I believe its more you than her. This young lady is from new York and I'm sure she is used to see good looking guys of various backgrounds due to the great diversity there. That's what you want to believe because you have a pretty serious bite from the love bug. If you go there, chances are you will see lots of girls, her friends and family and in her neighborhood who are very similar to her in looks and attitude plus the diversity of the girls there in general and all the swear words flying all over the place. You would be thinking I must have died and gone to heaven and your parents may not ever see you again.
I still say she's just as crazy about me as I am about her.
Just a very basic question: Do my parents REALLY think that by bringing her up every 10 seconds that that will make me dislike her. I think it's been proven that by saying " no" or showing disdain for something, you're only making that person like that thing more.
It's like chocolate, when someone says you can't have anymore chocolate, instantly your one goal in life is to get as much chocolate as possible. Similar thing here, telling me how awful they think she is is only drawing us closer together.

She is your first real GF. Relax. It's not forever. Keep it fun because LDRs are NOT worth it unless you are already committed to each other (i.e. married or close to it).
Figure out how to date her and still treat your parents with respect. They do have your best interests in mind and they DO know you better than Dannielle does.

Well, while I would never put moving in together in the same league as marriage, that's gotta count for something, there's a pretty good chance we'll move in together. " Figure out how to date her"? I'm sorry, IDK what you mean?
