I downloaded it at the suggestion of a friend (I hadn't heard of it) a few days ago. I don't have any expectations. I've had a good number of matches, a couple conversations that fizzled, and one conversation that led to texting and seems like someone I'll likely meet in person if we keep talking. I don't know about some of the pictures guys use - one guy had on a tshirt with arrows one pointing up that said "the man" and one point down that said "the legend." That's what makes it entertaining!
Yeah the pictures are everything for both men and women. If you use poor quality pictures or do not have ones posted that favorably accent your image, then it's pointless. For men moreso vs. women. The really attractive women usually have 10+ matches every single day.
I have a good physical physique however before, many of the pictures I had were with me in a suit. Took care of that error quickly.
Been on there since October and only banged two girls. But it's two more than I would've banged if it weren't for Tinder and it's not like you have to dedicate any money or a significant amount of time to it, so whatevs
Edit: oh and the second of the two was ****ing HOT! She should be worth extra points or something, lol

2nd Edit: this is common sense but it amazes me how many still don't realize it - basically one shouldn't over-rely on Tinder or any other ave to meet people. Tinder plays a very small part in methods of meeting women for me. I literally use it when I'm sitting on the john - just swipe left/right till the job is done.

It seems to work for some guys better than other. One girl I turned down b/c she was really weird on the phone. The other was in San Diego which is like 80 miles away from me and was moving and we started talking very late at night, so I got really lazy and passed lol. I've left money on the table for sure haha.
I've also noticed it works extremely well when traveling. Well, when I say "works" I mean I get instant matches really quick. And I've read posts on reddit about it before from others in different cities so it's not specific to location.
But literally, every time I'm somewhere on a layover or in a different city in general, I get a lot of matches very quickly. And now that I think back to when I first joined, I got a lot of matches on the first day. Must be some sort of an algorithm that kicks in in their code whenever a user gets introduced to a new geographical pool.
I'm not picky. It's about lifestyle compatibility. I'm not at that point in life where I want to be tied down by kids, especially ones that aren't my own. If I want to see a show on a Wednesday night or party 'til close on a Friday and Saturday (like I did last weekend), I want someone who will come with me, not bag on me when I get home because she has 90% custody of some other dude's DNA. What fun is that?
I wasn't just talking about the single mom thing. You've made a few comments about women not being up to your standards for various reasons.
