Have fun with that.
Dating is not the be all and end all of life. However, I agree that being overly paranoid is unhealthy and likely to have negative outcomes.

Apart from that, she's incredibly beautiful whereas I'm average. I think she might be wanting to make fun of me or laugh in my face if I accept, like "How did it ever cross your mind I would go out with you?"

I think you should go. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and you might think others are a better fit for her, but SHE is the one initiating and she is asking YOU out.

Maybe she likes your character and personality. Maybe she is attracted to you. Why don't you just accept her invite and see where it goes? She was probably waiting all semester for you to ask her and got impatient.

Just be yourself. She obviously is intrigued by you just the way you are, otherwise she wouldn't have invited you to coffee.

Grow a pair, and go meet her for a coffee.

This isn't the movies where beautiful girls walk around and set up people for humiliation. She asked you to go for coffee because....she wants to get a coffee with you.

Maybe the OP is looking at this in the wrong way and he's been friendzoned, lol.

I think you should decline. You have incredibly low self-esteem and no faith in humankind. You need to work on yourself before you pursue new friendships.

LOL. I agree. I can't believe you didn't say yes immediately. I am leaning on you must be smart. So you might be right, OP. She is gonna use your brains to pass the class. Lots of people do that in college. Bunch of losers err users, you get the drift?

Did it ever occur to you that maybe she is beautiful on the inside as well and sees your character and value?

What grade are you in?

Harsh, pursuing new friendships is a good way to build up that self-esteem, would also be good for him to get more experience dealing with girls

Well, if you don't go, you will never know. Why would anyone waste a Saturday to make fun of someone they don't know? Stop over analyzing it, and just accept. Of course, telling her that you have to check your schedule was a lie, and put off, so she may say forget about it if you say yes. So if she says no, learn from it, and instead of posting a question here to see if you should say yes or no, just answer yes.
