I wouldn't want to be in any kind of relationship that lacked a combination of emotional and physical intimacy. Contrary to popular opinion, i have been with more women in short-term relationships (a euphemism) who were capable of this than i have with women in long-term relationships. I think the idea that women who go in for one night stands are in some way emotionally damaged is for the birds. I have found quite a few to be quite strong and fearless about revealing themselves.
After being in a LDR for several years with my now wife I can assuredly say I wouldn't be in a LDR ever again to find out how much a lack of physical intimacy would affect me
My wife and I made the effort during that time so it was never really a huge issue....just an annoying one that involved a lot of miles traveled
