Aww I creeped on your picture, you're gorgeous blonde suits you! I experienced the same thing. My hair's a very dark dirty blonde naturally, but when I lightened it a lot, I got way more attention. People in general seem nicer towards me, which is kind of weird haha.
Thank you! See, it happens to a lot of people who got blonde!
My friend dyed her hair blond a while ago and the same thing happened. She has been keeping up the blond highlights for over a decade now. I don't even remember her real color anymore. Lol. I think it was a sandy brown

This depends on the original colour I guess. I'd look / feel ridiculous blonde.
The joke, I think I looked better as a brunette! I just wanted to look like a different person (I'm approaching 301!).
LOL at surgery. I hear you
Checked your pic. I think it's possible that blonde contrasts you a bit. Brunette may have been too plain, so the blonde makes you pop. Because for some, blonde is great. Like Raven Symone. She wore a blonde wig on her show, and it looked great. So sometimes, a nice contrast can make you pop.
My skin is very fair. Very, considering I have no color whatsoever. I can't even tan, because my skin has no color to darken. So, my hair is blonde on top of it. And after wanting to completely change my look, I find blonde hair may not be for me--being blonde hasn't gotten me any kind of attention. It's just vanilla on vanilla. Boring. So, I go for red. it's contrast, but not as dark as black. Because originally, I wanted black hair, but it wouldn't work with my face.
So, the blonde looks different on you. And if it's getting you some grand attention, and you like it, keep it and rock it!

The Washington Post just published an article about how prevalent plastic surgery (botox, etal.) has become on Capital Hill in DC. Saying that folks in 'high-communication' positions need to look "relevant" to be at their best.
So even men with bags under their eyes are getting minor surgery to look better rested.
I've always thought my 'decent' appearance helped way more on the job than in dating.
