Other than seeing someone I know who is suffering manage to get out of the suffering and get to where he or she can be happy. Seeing that person realize her worth and actually live a happier life from that point could go a long way, especially if that person is going through the same things you are going through or have went through. Seeing it work out for that person, even if it didn't work out for me would bring a smile to my face. If I contributed to that, it would be a great bonus.
That would be one of the greatest joys of my life. Seeing someone go from a "wreck" to a "success" would have me smiling all the way to my grave.
It goes without saying that seeing it be a hopeless situation and having it turn out hopeless for that person, that would kill me.
