I ask her as we were driving home, are you ok with how you wrote that? Yes ma'am. It is your name, it is what your name was before you married Daddy.

I sat in the front seat of the car, driving TO the sunset, smiling. Looking int hat rearview mirror at my baby girl, so grown up that minute, and I smiled.
What an angel!

By choosing your maiden name for herself, I think that she's expressing how much she loves you and identifies with you. And she's also expressing some deep disappointment with her father's treatment of her, and indirectly, his treatment of you too.

She's been a victim of sorts too, and you are her closest parent & the head of "her" family, and now she has empowered herself in the only way that she knows how, to respect and to be like you, and to let you know just how much she wants to bond with you and identify with you more than with her dad and his last name.
She's made this choice in her mind, even if it's only the temporary reactive choice of a pre-teenage child.
She's making it conciously, maybe not even realizing the sub-conscious logic behind it herself.
She has understood and accepted the obvious reasons for ending your marriage, and she's showing her support and agreement with your decision. She's experienced it too.
My she is a wise one and very much dedicated to her mother in this instance.
Aren't kids just amazing and worthy of all of our sacrifices?
She's amazingly peceptive, really!

Hello Robyn and all,

Hope today is a good day for you guys. The sun is shining here, a gentle breeze is blowing and best of all...it is WARM....Yippie....

Robyn, L is doing great and is giving you the respect that shows love and not from being afraid. How wonderful. And with A being so loving towards you, I am sure glad to see it, these children will grow up to have good relationships with their mates because of the love that you are giving them, and the freedom you have given them to express their emotions in a good way....I am so very proud of you.

Thank you guys...

Tonight ont he way home a green minivan ran me part of the way into a ditch. Just so happens, it wanted to be int he same part of my lane while I was. I had to swerve over to the left, and a tractor trailor was behind me.

He slowed down, and my car swerved to the left and right, in both of the lanes on the highway. I did not have control over it at that time, which was scary.

I slipped in the tub this morning and busted my butt. I guess my butt actually saved me... sure hurts.

Besides trying to do my work at work, I had to pull the charts and make the calls which is front desks job. I am told that I need to be a team player and help her with her work, but she down not have to reciprocate.

Rant off.

I am alive, the truck did not run me over, and I am home, clothes are washing and drying, and I have my kids here, who have given me big hugs and kisses.

I am blessed. The Lord has blessed me today.

I am thinking maybe, maybe I should have looked at His mon this morning. I did not do that today. Tommorow, for sure, tonight, for sure.

Hi DTD, I havn't officially named them yet. In fact, I'm still open for suggestions for them. Again, they are solid grey, male, and female. It amuses me somewhat that I've even received a few direct messages with name suggestions. But, as of right now, the "name the kitties" deal is still open to everyone who cares to submit names. Thanks for your interest!

I don't feel good. Last night all of the electrical ooutlets stopped working. We had electricity up htere, just nothing that plugged in, so, basically, we had the lights only.

Has anyone seen my fuse box? I have never needed to use it and I was all over this place last night, and it is not in the house. I wonder if it is outside somewhere, but that doesn't make sense to me.

I will check anyway.

Oh Robyn, that stinks! I'm glad you have some power but all of your outlets not working must be so inconvenient.

Check with the landlord if necessary. Don't play with a fusebox if you don't know what youre doing.
