Frog, the next time you have to work in the hottest room in the plant, get some kosher dill pickles, you know the big ones they sell individually sometimes.
Anyway, at home put those in ice water, then when you go to work take them with you packed in more ice water.
When you get hot and start to get a bit dehydrated eat one of those pickles, it will cool you down very quickly and keep you hydrated.
This only works though if you like kosher dill pickles.

Lol! Well, you could use it with other pickles, too. That's a really good idea, though, chilling them like that.
I actually discovered that when my youngest son started playing tball, I could not believe they could eat those pickles like that.
He told me one day it cooled him off so I tried it and it worked like a charm.
It doesn't work so well with other pickles though, I think it is the amount of salt in the brine for the kosher dills but I have no clue, I don't make pickles I just eat them.

What are you doing up at 4:18am?
Well, that's a very, very good question, CSD. It had been previously agreed upon that we were going to be good tonight and go to bed "early," 1:00-ish. So, that's what I/we did. Lo and behold, about 1:30 or so, lights are being turned on, music is being played, and a certain inhabitant here is being urged to get up, that "it's still early." Tough when two people suffer from insomnia at different times... That's what I'm/we're doing up at 2:18 our time...

Huh... I would think there would be plenty of salt in the other ones. And I still think it's a good way to get salt back into you after sports. Anyway, I'm going to keep it in mind...
Not much time lapse between the last post "yesterday" and the first post today. Late to bed folks and early risers around here. I told myself I'd sleep in but obviously that didn't work.
Husband and son were leaving for D.C. and I had to at least say goodbye.
Now I can't go back to sleep. I may as well get the household chores out of the way early today.
I have a FREE weekend! Just one hockey game and that's it. I can't remember the last time that has happened
My younger kids want to decorate for Halloween today...and I said "sure, after we get this house completely spotless". Hahaha...worked like a charm. One is doing all the windows, the other is cleaning the bathroom and they are asking what needs to get done next. SCORE!
