I don't know if you're familiar with her, but Grimes is a young electronic producer and musician who recorded two really solid albums from her apartment. I know she writes like a 15-year-old, which is a little unbearable to read, but her suggestions are helpful if you're running a setup at home. Ableton Live is also quite cheaper than Pro Tools if you ever will be considering an upgrade from Audacity.

On a lighter note, am I the only one who finds it hard to resist playing with the toys we give the kids for Christmas?
