Hello,

If you and your significant other were going to be involved in starting a business and you had the following two options:

1. You own the business, your significant other works for you.

2. Your significant other owns the business, you work for them.

If you had to pick, which one of you is more the leader/entrepreneur type and which one, the employee/follower type?

Thanks

I am a follower. So 2 is the best pic for me. I don't do well under pressure, and running things.

3. Other. It we be OURS and we would work as a TEAM.

If you're talking in financials aspects as in a loan for the business, I would chose whichever option was the better financially. It still wouldn't be one or the other's.

I personally do not like things in a marriage to be referred to as his or mine. It's ours. To each their own though!

#2. He can own it. He's the leader, I'm the follower. Not with everything but definitely in business.

It'd probably be easier for me, as a woman, to get a business loan, and it's more likely I will inherit money to invest in a business. I don't see either of us in a boss role over the other, though.

Very rarely will either of these work. Unless one of you is very very passive and likes being that way. I mean VERY

Depends who is superior at the respective business tasks involved.

I like the idea that we both start a business we both like and we trade different aspects.

But, if I had to choose, I'd say I start up the idea, and we both follow through- maybe that person does, because follow-through definitely isn't one of my fortes. And, I love getting into finding new creative ideas and research, and going out and about and meeting people and promoting. The other person can do all the background stuff. They can manage me in that regard. Anything creative? I'm all in. Scheduling and details? Not so much. Sometime's, I do need to be told or reminded what to do.

I don't like his or mine things as far as we are doing together, we work together and business is ours. It is ours. So the options you gave to choose I don't choose non.

Number one works great for us and has for a while now.
Many things can work for many people if they want it to work some just let their ego get the best of them and the issues begin after that.
