I experimented with an online profile of mine by changing my height to 6'8" and I was probably getting as many or messages in a day than the ladies do lol...I think I had over 40 in one day. Once my profile was switched back I just got my usual message every once in a while.
I am very skeptical. A cousin and a former college room mate were both 6'8", they were not girl magnets.
You know what most people can change, their weight. An overweight person can lose most if they take the right steps and work hard enough. So if people are 'discriminating' against you on the dating scene because of your weight, then take the steps to change it.
Now, if this were about height, disability, or something along those lines, I'd completely understand. As a 28 year old disabled man (can walk but have difficulty), that is a big hindrance in the dating scene. In NO WAY is an overweight or obese person similar as they can change, they can lose the weight, but I can't just lose my disability.

I am sorry for your condition. My main issue with this type of "experiment" is that it is untruthful. I would not trust anyone I went on a date with who misrepresented themselves in this manner. Like agreeing to meet someone who says "average" for body size and they are morbidly obese.
Also, to make your point, why has this person not taken care of themselves already? If they can indeed change their appearance, they should do it for themselves, not for me.
What was the point of this? To make men look bad? To show people don't like being lied to? To show that most people aren't attracted to fat people? Waste of time.
The only thing this video proves is that men are more upfront in calling people out.
There is nothing wrong with that, either. Considering that equality suddenly takes a backseat to (implied...or not) chivalry in dating these days, I have no problems being choosy if I have to be the pursuer.
Of course, if you're relying on Tinder, that's another problem to be discussed elsewhere.
If the change had been less dramatic the responses would have been different but they presented a completely different woman.
Not a woman who had gained 10 or 20 pounds within a 12 month period of time.
