Do men ever put people in the friend zone or do just women put men in the friend zone? (husband, sex)

Do men ever decide that a woman is just a friend and they don't want to have sex or is it just women? I feel like men are more ready to go, but, I'm really not sure

Of course, I attract a lot of overweight women, but I don't think I'm a good match for them, so I have them as friends.

Although some will never experience opposite sex friendship as they have already made up their mind that it's not possible.

Yes guys can be friends with women, and desire nothing more. I have some woman friends that we get along great, have great conversations with, and enjoy just being friends.

I, as a rule, do not maintain friendships or contact with opposite sex women if they express they are interested in me romantically and I can't return those feelings. I don't believe in the friendzone and that just makes for awkward situations. Note: I do have a lot of platonic female friends.
