Do people want a perfect relationship or is hardship part of the thrill, part of the ideal? Let's say things are too perfect, are humans naturally inclined to sabotage by maybe cheating or starting a fight?

I guess I need to wake up from an almost two decade dream then.

For me the perfect relationship is a combination of a best friend and a lover. Enough mental stimulation, good communication and comforting hugs are required. Also having the same values is very important.

I do not want/chase after hardship. A good relationship will work through the hardships without ultimatums or hurt feelings. (that doesnt mean theres no disagreement or raised voices- it means just because he forgot the milk doesnt mean you can say " well 2yrs ago you forgot our anniversary, so youre lazy and stupid!")

I think we all have a "fairy tale" in our heads whether it was given by friends, family or TV/Music.
