Huh? Cambodia has very limited street scene action, the freelancer scene is primarily restricted to bars and discos. I mean outside of three very compact areas in Phnom Penh I can't think of any areas where street girls congregate.

A couple times in Hollywood. After Hugh Grant muddied the waters for the street walkers they started trolling for johns by car. I had two pull over and ask if I needed a ride to my hotel. I thanked them for their thoughtfulness and apologized that I was in walking distance and sent them on their way. I tried to appear as clueless as possible regarding their intent. Cameras everywhere nowadays!

In both PP and SR I had them come up to me in the street frequently late at night. It happened in Kampot too.
Well I assumed they were prostitutes. If not, I done might have messed up.
Of course the bars were crazy with non street prostitutes. It really got to me.

Don't worry, it's pretty safe to assume that any girl who approaches you in Cambodia is on the game. It's not like other countries in the region where freebies are abundant and easily available.
I have never been approached on the street in Siem Reap, or any other cities in Cambodia aside from Phnom Penh and Sihanoukhville.
