For one, not feeling emotionally drained at the end of the day helps. I can be physically exhausted, and still feel amorous if other conditions are right. But emotionally battered just steals all the "thunder". Middle age is the suck.
Physically, a considerably overweight female is not a turn on at all. I recoil at the sight and feel no special "feelings" toward her. I'm far from perfect, even carry a couple of extra lbs myself. But I work like the devil at it. i eat right, and train 4-5 days per week. My significant other should do the same.
unfortunately, despite my efforts, she will just never have any interest in it.

They say that the only way people really get motivated to take off weight and get in shape is if they are motivated for themselves. I don't know how you've tried to encourage her before, but maybe if there was an angle where you could convince her it would make her not only look, but feel better... maybe it would help. But honestly, without knowing her personality and such, I am not sure how to suggest doing that. But I wish you (and her) luck with it.
Well, he or she who is without sin may cast the first stone.
To answer the question
1. firmly push the primer bulb multiple times
2. put the drive lever into the designated position
3. slowly pull the recoil handle until resistance if felt then
4. quickly push the starter button
Oh I'm guilty of plenty.
Key on, listen to the fuel pump. Once it slows down, choke on, hit the starter button.
If it's a diesel key on, preheat the engine. After 30 seconds blitz the starter.

Thank you Jillabean. It's been a tough marriage for the past few years. I want to be sympathetic to her struggle, but I simply don't have the drive to be "turned on" to what I can't be. And I do everything i can to be "present". I really, really think i do.
