My wife and I don't measure our love for each other with materialistic things, so we don't celebrate anything or go anywhere. Still together after 20+ years.
Really, this OP just sound like she has a feeling of entitlement based on how he treated a couple people in the past when he had a very different income. A little TOO entitled, to stir the pot maybe?
Op, maybe not only has he matured and become more wise, but maybe he also was being extravagent with those women to be a big shot and have them, but respects you more and wants a more mature and adult marriage with you.
Have you asked him for a fancy trip? A car? Have you earned money to contribute to any of that?

OP sounds like she's very superficial and has a good man that she doesn't truly appreciate. Who cares what he's done in the past. In all honesty, it's none of your business. He's the man you married, and you either love him or you don't. Don't make this about your jealousy of his past girlfriends.
This story doesn't add up, based on the misers i know. They were born misers. I never met a reformed miser or a miser convert. Who did you hear these stories about his exes from?
Its understood how this makes you feel bitter compared to the way he pampered his dates in the past. Probably one of the reason he married you because he had enough of those high maintenance women and thought you are different from them.
The question here is does he have the same financial status like he used to spend as he did? Otherwise it sounds unreasonable to demand him to change jobs, just so you may be even with his past dates.
Totally believable that your husband bought his exes a Lexus AND a BMW. Uh huh.
