Can a man not get it up because hes nervous? is that really possible? even if the girl is doing things to try... it just still doesnt happen? like performance anxiety? is that a real thing. i dont understand

You're very young aren't you? Yes...it's real....and it has nothing to do with if the guy thinks your hot or you are 'doing things '.

Like others mentioned OP, the most important sex organ is your brain. I know if my partner is fatigued from work, stressed, or feeling pressure to perform (this was only in the beginning of the relationship, it has since disappeared now that real intimacy is established) there will be difficulty. Glad you're feeling better
I think this has probably happened to most men at one time or another. As mentioned many factors can contribute, stress, performance anxiety, or in my case working crazy rotating shifts. It would be nice to just snap your finger and voila. Doesn't work like that. Best just to try another time. It's really only a problem if it is a regular occurrence which can mean something more serious.
