Is it a conscious thing of the guy trying to tell the woman he's not interested in sleeping with her or is it just something the guy calls everybody? I wasn't too concerned about this until a guy I barely know called me dude. Usually my brothers or close guy friends and even some girls call me dude and I don't think much about it. A guy I was seeing called me dude and I told him not to call me that because to me, if a guy calls me dude, I'm just a dude to him. He apologized and said it just slipped cause he calls everybody that.

I wasn't even interested in the guy I barely know who called me a dude today but I couldn't help and wonder, is he trying to tell me he doesn't want to sleep with me? That's fine with me, I just don't know if guys have a code for that sort of thing but I sure do. I just felt like Meg from Family Guy.

I'll say dude to a girl but I'm not calling her a dude. There just isn't a proper female replacement for the word dude. It's kind of a like a white person knowing how to properly use the n word.

Talk about over thinking it. Dude just chill.

Some people just use it as a catch all term for both males and females ...it has little to do with if someone you admit to hardly knowing wants to jump into bed with you.

Well done! Show a little respect or I'll get out my wand.

So you think they have weekly meetings to set their super secret decoder rings they got from the back of a playboy magazine?
