Well, you can't dictate that in a free country. Plus we would have to make sure that desirable people do breed, because we need to perpetuate the species.

If anything the birthrate is a little too low in developed countries.

We can by cutting welfare from undesirables.

Since you support them, maybe you can pay more in taxes so I don't have to support people who receive welfare and abuse the system, like the OP.

But I am sort of taking it slow with a guy right now. I see a future with him so we shall see how it goes. Oddly enough, he is who everyone has always said that I belong with.
Maybe it's karma, you know the way you use the system and take advantage. It seems very fitting for you to attract cheaters, and abusers.....change yourself, and maybe the type of men that are attracted to you will also change.

You can't tell people what or what not to do. Are they hurting you in any way? If not, leave people alone.

Ok then genius, why don't you explain to us all your solution for stopping "undesirables" from breeding? Would you like send them to a 1930's-40's German style "work" camp? Would you like to propose laws to segregate them from the general populace? You made the comment, so I want to see you defend it!

I know this thread has been populated with 350+ replies, but I keep stumbling over this topic over and over. I wonder, why would they be undesirable in the first place?? I get all the issues around child care, but if two people like each other enough, with some empathy, compromise, and understanding of the dynamic in place, I would say that things can be manageable. I would never turn down a single dad, unless there were a disagreement over how we'd best manage "us".

Most people don't want a premade family. If given the choice between two equally desirable people most people are going to choose the person with no kids. The only exception would be someone that can't have kids or someone that is deliberately seeking out a person with kids for some reason. I'm not sure why anyone would seek out a person with kids though.
