Yes, and we like to blame relationship issues on the opposite gender when it's really just people. We don't have the kind of deep relationship problems with people and genders to which we're not attracted.

I have had my fair share of failed realtionships but I can't say I have ever had trouble understanding the other.

Understanding just takes a williness to listen
