Well, I was waiting for either call or text. Turned out to be a text.

That said I didn't have her number, so couldn't call.

I would absolutely do that...

IF MY PHONE PROVIDER SENT ME THE TEXT ON TIME AND BEFORE I LOST HOPE AND DECIDED TO QUIT MY JOB AND MOVE...

You quit your job and decided to move because you thought a girl didn't like you? Ok.

Oh, how pathetic is that?

How hard could it have been to ask someone? Always the excuses with you.

What? So you initiated a resignation to move and better your job position some time back, but decided it was time to carry through with it because you gave a woman your number, didn't hear back, and assumed she had no interest?

What would the interest in going on a potential first date ever have anything to do with making a major life decision such as career and where you lived?

I know you feel hard up for a date, but geeze, lets at least own up to the fact that you wanted to initiate a career change and move, and that the decision to do so wouldn't hinge on the off chance of a date.

I was pondering about moving long before I met the girl because this was a small town and jobs are low paying and not much to do here. I began saving money, then I meet this friendly girl during one of my shifts, and my interest in her slowly grew. Got the guts to give her my number to give this town (and perhaps life itself) one last try. Nothing happened so I carried out my move yesterday.

Then this morning I receive a text I should have received the night I gave her my number.

Emotionally it's always difficult for me to put myself out there.

Sorry, I must've skimmed over that part in your original post. That does suck, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. Get the girl's number next time and be proactive.
