Basically just this: I'm an attractive woman and I collect sex toys and condoms. It's a hobby of mine and I've been at it for years. I have over 4,200 condoms of all shapes, sizes, kinds, varieties (some historic).. hundreds of sex toys of all strange varieties for both males and females. And to be honest, I haven't even used half of them on anyone besides myself. I collect them...
Recently I invited a man over that I've been dating for awhile over Valentine's weekend and he discovered the room where I keep my collections while he was on the hunt for the bathroom. He nearly had a panic attack and I had to calm him down and re-assure him I collected them, doesn't mean I use them on everyone.. etc etc..
Anyway, he is still in shock over my hidden hobby. Would you be okay with a woman you're dating having more sex toys and condoms than you? Would it make you uncomfortable to discover this? I don't see how it's such a big deal.. Help me understand why a man would panic over this..
Would it have been more acceptable if I was a man instead of a female? Does being a woman make a guy automatically assume that I wouldn't have a hobby that's sex related?
Man or woman I'd find it a bit odd to have that much stuff, but whatever floats peoples boats.... I don't think I'd be having a panic attack over it though.

Sex toys are expensive. At the very least you kind of have to look at it like having a closet full of designer shoes. I think a lot of men would be intimidated too, like they might not be up to your sexual standards. They may wonder if you always need toys ... or if you want to use toys on them.
I'd find that odd for a man or woman. BUT, that's just me. I have a hobby people may find weird, or stupid. But it's me, so I continue. Though it's a secret only I know of lol and no, it's nothing kinky.
So, I would say don't worry about it. Maybe this guy just wasn't a match for you, or he'd accept and/or maybe even like your collection.
