1. how do i get a prenup? possible to just get one online?
2. how much is it going to cost me?
3. how much time is it going to take me? is this something i can do and be done with in 1 hour? or is it going to require lots of meetings/paperwork/etc etc
4. clarification - does this protect me from my future earnings/endeavors/businesses/properties/etc AFTER i get married? or does it just protect my assets before?

You and your fiancé should meet with a lawyer. I doubt people on an online forum are going to give you better advice than a lawyer who specializes in such things.

1. As mentioned, it'll take a lawyer.
2. The more time you spend with the lawyer, the more it'll cost you. As long as your finances aren't complicated, it should be between 1500-3000 with a good lawyer. Cheapest you're looking at is like 1k.
3. More than an hour for sure. And it should go without saying, but your fiancee/SO/whoever will be involved. You can't just do it secretly.
4. That all depends on what you workout with your SO and your lawyer. It can literally cover anything you want, but the catch will be getting your SO to agree to it. Theoretically, you could have it say the equivalent of "if we divorce, they won't see a single penny of anything", but the odds of them agreeing to something like that are basically less than zero.

Even if they agree to it the judge has to agree to it during the divorce or s/he will throw it out based on unconscionability.

The first start is to keep your pre-existing assets in your own name. Do not put your spouse on the deed to a house, for example. Keep your pre-existing financial accounts in your own name and do not put your spouse on them. Treat them as your separate property.

Then, of course, it is time to find a great divorce lawyer.
