Mine are...
1. Chemistry.....that "click" we have when we are talking or that "magic" we mutually feel when we are with one another. No conversation has to take place, we do not have to be participating in any special activity.....just being together feels wonderful and "right".
2. Trust.... without it, it doesn't matter how "great" the other stuff is. When we are in a relationship where there is lying and deception of any kind it takes away our peace, joy and happiness. I was a cheater once (I have made amends to my ex however still living with the guilt of my actions) and I have been cheated on quite a few times. Therefore it is important for me to be trustworthy in my future relationships as well as expect that from my partner as well.
Things like chemistry and trust are either there or they aren't. My expectations in a partner have to do with his responsibilities toward the relationship, so mine are communication and fidelity. If he can't manage those two things he has no business being in a relationship.
Communication has to be up there. if a partner cant communicate, there's no way the relationship is lasting longterm
