There's lots of threads on here asking, "Does he(she) like me?" Most times we really don't know the answer to that question, but we do know when we like someone.

For me, I realize I like someone when:

1. I start to be highly analytical of him. I'll notice things I've never noticed before like the way he walks, where he likes to sit on the bus, that he likes to wear non-traditional pants, and that he likes to dye his hair darker, etc. I'll recognize his voice all of a sudden and features of his face and body.

2. I get a new haircut, outfit, update my makeup collection or wear more makeup. I don't know why I do these things, I just do.

3. I look forward to seeing him more. I will make excuses to run into him more.

4. If I know someone he knows, I'll ask questions about him, but I try not to be too obvious.

5. Sometimes I will give him things and make it appear like I did it for everyone, but really, it was for him. For example, I gave all my friends in college a Christmas card and gave him one too (he was part of the group of friends). I would've never given those cards out if it wasn't because of him.

6. And obviously, I think about him all day.

This is going to sound weird, but I know I like someone when I can't conjure up his image in my head.

I have a good memory and I am pretty good with faces, but if I have strong feelings for someone, I can't picture his face. Like right now, I'm trying to remember what my boyfriend looks like, and I have to put it together like a collage. Like, okay I know he has ears like this, and freckles on his nose, etc. and I have to picture him piece by piece.

I just know. I feel it. There is no ambiguity. I like them. The end.

When I'm interested in getting to know them as a person instead of just having interest in banging them.

I especially agree with No. 1.

I will also want to talk about him all the time, with anyone. And if I haven't made it known that I like him, I'll hope that he comes up in conversation so I can talk about him. Just saying his name feels good.

Same. I know I like someone when I find myself thinking about them a lot and wanting to see them again. And when I do see them, I'll pay more attention to how they look, what they're saying, etc. But you really know you like someone when you're looking for excuses to see them or talk to them. I personally know I like someone when I start becoming more self-conscious of my looks. Cause then I'll worry about wanting to look my best if and when I see them again.

When his number pops up on my caller ID and I think, "Yay!" and not "Oh God, what now?"
