News, Twins separated at birth met and married.
LONDON (Reuters) - A couple discovered after they had married that they were twins who had been split up at birth and adopted by separate families, according to a member of Britain's House of Lords.
British peer David Alton recounted the story to parliament last month to support his argument that artificially conceived children should be told who their biological parents are.

Yuck! Those poor people!!!
Do any of you remember a long time ago (back in the 80's) watching 'Dynasty'? That was one of the plot lines n the series. Fallon had falen on love with and had a sexual relationship with some guy (forgot his name) and it turned out he was her brother. God! How do I remember these things after all these years!!!!!

Interesting... I know my opinion is radical and will be unpopular, but truth be told... if they don't plan to have children (mainly because of the potential genetic problems), who really cares and why anybody would...?! Wouldn't they be living happily if they never found out?! They were not raised together (that's how and when you bond in brotherly/sisterly way in reality) and they didn't know each other at all. As far as I'm concerned, this other person is a complete stranger to me. I don't think I'd have a problem with it unless I cared what the "society" thinks about it, but as I just recently mentioned somewhere I don't spend my time at home with and definitely don't sleep with the holy "society," and I'm not too concerned (if at all) about its opinion. So this "discovery" has to break their relationship...?! OK, they may not be able to be legally married, but so what... Numerous people who hate each other are. Is that what marriage is about?! It's hypocrisy, IMHO.

I think incest tends to make people squeamish...
I understand what you're saying. They could have lived a perfectly happy life together if they never knew they were related. Until their mutant children were born.

Well, yes, the children may be a problem... or not... who really knows... it's not like it's happening every day. Apparently they found out before having them. They can either decide not to have children or to adopt children. It's not like it's undoable. Others do it all the time.
I'm a European and I don't have siblings, so my opinion could be based on not having any experience with siblings (would have no idea how they feel at the often shown reunions...) and certainly hard to stomach in this country.
