You sound like a good guy. I guess the only way would have been to find an excuse to go up to her at some point and discreetly chat briefly, and ask for a number, or ask where she works (to make conversation and, well, to find out where she works, lol).

"games"? They're complete strangers. She was doing what a lot of women do who spot an interesting stranger in a crowd. OK, some women actually go up to the guy and grab his crotch (this happened to a guy I was with, once), or "accidentally" brush him with their boobs. Would that have been better? He was with another woman, what was she supposed to do? How she did it is often "how it's done" in that type of situation.
