You know you're being obtuse, right? He's commenting on a conversation where people encouraged the OP, who's terrified of talking to women and asking them out, that he can get over that by talking to anyone when there's nothing at stake. Striking up a friendly conversation is no big deal. Get used to that, and asking someone out is no big deal, either.

When a woman is married, you have nothing to lose by talking to her. I'd never try anything with a married woman though.

Sigh. He isn't going to have any romantic interest (or most people aren't) in someone he hasn't spoken to anyway, so the main thing is to get out there and get comfortable with talking to people. They're relationship status isn't really relevant.
