What is with this trend of people freaking out when the person they've had a grand total of ONE date with doesn't obsess over texting them the next day, or throughout the week?

Same. But it's mostly because of my age group. Kids nowadays my age aren't looking for anything too serious. Or some are, but they are few and far between.
