We've been cleaning out more of my grandparents closets this weekend. Thinking old thoughts.
My grandpa was seriously injured on Okinawa in WW2. Took a mortar in the back and spent something like a year in a hospital in Europe before he could come home to the states. His injuries always bothered him and he became a drunk and a pill junkie because of the pain. It probably didn't help that he owned a bar either. He died from ulcers from drinking and pain killers in 2002.
He didn't drink anymore when I knew him, but in his younger drunken days he used to cheat on my grandma a lot. He even had two kids with other women. At one point my grandparents even separated for 5 years while grandpa was off doing his thing. But through all the crap he put my grandma through divorce was never an option for her. I guess it was just a combination of her religious beliefs and the way things were back then. Seems crazy now.

I'm sorry for your grandpa and poor grandma dealing with a lot.
Times have done a 360 however, divorce happy people.
lol, I dunno. Oddly my older sister would be asked and not me, which was useful as we would use the same ID... we at least had the foresight to go in at separate times...lol

I don't care for anything fruity, I will drink beer, Whiskey, Crown and a couple others but I don't drink like I used to.

I've never tried heineken before. If i have trouble spelling the name of the beer while sober, I don't want to drink it.

I can't drink it. It's my dad's only beer though.
And I'll drink any of those, so long as there is way more alcohol to fruity content.
I don't care for anything fruity, I will drink beer, Whiskey, Crown and a couple others but I don't drink like I used to.
I don't mind a beer here and there but I like mix drinks better.Pina a colotta oh my.
I only drink if I go out with friends once and awhile.
Or parties at friends.Otherwise it makes me sleepy.
