by the way you describe it i think he is in love... or really really likes you... so if you are into him then nothing to worry about at all!

our pupil dilate when we see the people we love and if he has light coloured eyes it will be obvious

I've seen it several times (from women) - it's a sign they dig you. Men and Women have that ability to really light up when they see someone they really want to be with.
