CPG met Bo Jackson years ago when he was a senior in high school. Mr. Jackson had a speech impediment that made it hard for him to say the personal pronoun, "I." So he referred to himself as Bo to avoid being made fun of. Of course, how someone would have the nerve to ridicule Bo Jackson is beyond me.

If it puts you off OP fine. Me personally, I just don't understand what the big deal is about referring to yourself in 3rd person. Diss is not feeling the outrage.
