Essentially. Sometimes I wish I was in my 30s already.

It might be better in your area.

I got into my 30s, and found that even more women have 3+ kids. I couldn't believe my eyes and ears when I'm talking to women both online and IRL.

That's silly. Nobody is really like that. You don't just give out the first three digits of your phone number. You give out 4 digits. And in the wrong order. Everyone knows that.

Hah!

I will say that dating in my thirties was WAY better than dating in my twenties.

Every decade is better than the one before.

Thanks for the responses guys. I guess I've been down because I have recently realized I dislike the whole process of dating; it feels artificial, flaky, overly-complex, vague and draining for me, when it should be fun. If there was a way to skip it and go right to farting in bed and arguing over the dishes, I would do that. I think if I had a more teflon coated personality that was able to just wade through all the nonsense in the 20s dating scene, I would enjoy it more, but I get tired of the bs really quickly.

You need to figure out how to target the quirky, brainy, creative types, like yourself, and leap-frog over the drones, OP. It can be a cesspool of mediocrity out there, for people like you. That's what's dragging you down. Maybe you need to get into grad school, or something. Where are you working, these days? Find an employer niche that hires quirky, brainy, creative people. I thought the Bay Area had an advantage in that respect.

My wife will never have to worry about me going after someone younger because people who are younger are so freaking dumb.
