Guys do you find most dating/relationship advice to be crap? If so please add which advice you find to be the most ludicrous and why.

The most ludicrous to me is being told I should have to work for it. I learned back in my twenties the total lack of logic in that statement.
I should have to work for it while women line up to give it away for free to guys like my former friend/philandering jackass?
I am way too intelligent to fall for that.

Fix your title. At least put some effort into this. Don't just post some incoherent BS and expect us to translate.

No, I give the best and most wise relationship advice. I find it is rather outstanding and brilliant.

I had the same line as above for my title. Something happened between the time I clicked submit and when it hit the screen. I cannot seem to edit it either.

Hit edit and then choose Go Advanced. It will open to allow you to change the title.

I think some advice is good and some advice is bad.

One thing that annoys me is advice about jealousy. I think it's ok to be jealous sometimes and show it. Hell, I don't even think I'd be comfortable in a relationship with a girl who wasn't at least somewhat jealous!

Most other advice I find to be pretty broad and vague.

I don't like "dating rules". "Wait this long to call" "don't look too desperate", things like that I find to be bad advice. Go with what you're comfortable with, don't worry about the other person with things like that. If they don't like it they're not for you.

unless the advice is coming from someone who has had a very similar experience as me and is nor in a situation I would want to be in, or its from someone who has been happily married 40+ years I take any other advice with a grain of salt.

The dating advice guys usually get is best taken with a rather large grain of salt.

So are you having any luck not following advice?

It sounds like you're angry that your former friend had success that he didn't deserve but you didn't.

You know, you can learn a lot reading and hearing advice and about real life experiences, good and bad. It's up to you to figure out what you need to do.
