That wasn't a "Russian" dating site Livewire, it was Yahoo Personals. A lot of Russian women look for candidates on there too, that's why I too my profile out of there not long before I met you in December of 2006.

I have a Friend that used Anistasia on the web.com I think that is how you spell it anyway. He was paying 5 dollars a email to have his mails translated to russian and 5 dollars a email to have the girls email to him translated in english. Then he got to were he would call them. They charges him 3 dollars a minute for a translator to be on the phone with the girl so that the 2 of them could understand each other. He was stupid enough to fly over to the Ukraine and try to meet 5 of the girls he was talking to. So you can imagine he had spent quit a bit of cash on there site sending emails and talking with thses girls via phone. The site convenently also haddled all his arrangements for him. 100 bucks a night for a apartment so he could have over nite visitors. (you cant do that in a Hotel over there for some reason) needless to say he got there and not one of the 5 girls that were suppose to meet him showed up. but he did arrange a date with a different girl that happened to have a profile on that site from the town he was in. The translator came(cost him 75 bucks for her for the evening) and the girl stayed and had dinner 85 dollars spent. And then she said goodnight and went home. All is all he said he spent around 3 grand just sending emails and talking to them prior to the trip. The tickets cost him 2 grand to fly there and back. he stayed 6 nights 7 days. he told me that customs in the Ukraine would not allow him to have more then 3 grand on him when he entered the county. So all in all I would say 8-10k for just one trip that wound up with just one girl seeing him and it wasn't even the girl he wanted to see. I told him for sure he could get pleanty of one nighters here in america for 10 grand and he was wasting his money. Since that time he lost his job over going back to the ukraine falsely using FMLA to cover the days he was out of the country. He has went back several more times and only met one of the girls he was talking with eventually. He still is single and still is useing that site as far as I know. Some people are so Desperate for love that they are suckerd in by scams and then just keep paying into them. Sad realy isn't it.

Keep yourself from meeting russian women, they are not worth you. Don't waste your time. Why do most of them stay illegaly, every year. They've left no chances for those who just want to travel. I am sorry.

I don't see the reason to use those sites. There are plenty of beautiful, easy-going American girls, why trying to get outside what you have next-door?
