You're talking NY and NJ as if they're Iowa and NJ. You can go to the beach every weekend if you want if it's only "60-90 minutes from where you are now".

Move to Florida, where you can buy a home for 1/3 of the price you can in NY/NJ, no state income tax, real beaches (not those crappy NJ beaches where trash and needles wash ashore, and you can actually USE them 9 months out of the year... and schools are always hiring and it's easy to transfer the certs

i agree its not easy to move. which is why i said i had no problem staying a couple of years and would NEVER insist she move for something that she didn't want.

i just want her to be open to it.
