So my friend's boyfriend of one month recently told her that he loves her. They knew each other casually for maybe a month or a few months prior to when they started dating. They are in their mid and late 20s. Also, they haven't had sex yet, so this whole thing about men needing to have sex before they can decide whether they're in love with someone is obviously a lie.
It is absolutely possible to fall in love with someone without having sex first. Heck, it's possible to fall in love with someone before you've even been on a date with them.

Just that it's not common.
Indeed. My husband fell in love with me prior to having sex or meeting in person, and same for the three previous SOs.

That, plus just because someone says they're in love with someone, it doesn't mean they are.
In addition, I've never heard someone say NO MAN can fall in love without having sex first. I can only speak for myself in that regard. No one can speak for everyone.

Yes, the guy could be lying. That remains to be seen. And no, he doesn't represent all men or even the majority of men, but I'm still taking note of this.

Go ahead and take note. It doesn't really help you at all, unless you want to be loved by a platonic friend.

I'm sure my friend and her boyfriend don't consider themselves platonic.
